Bike Tour 8 :
Through the Countryside West of Sommières
The nicest and most complete tour when starting from the medieval town of Sommières, where you can also admire one of the rare (partly) inhabited bridges in the world, a 1th century Roman bridge built by emperor Tiberius, transformed into an inhabited bridge in the Middle Ages.
No real climb. Rather a succession of short and smooth up and downs.

Ascent: 850 m
A medieval center, a gothic fortified town gate, the ruins of 13th century castle, a Roman bridge of 190 m long, and one of the nicest markets (each Saturday morning) in the region, this unpretentious small town has it all.
